Friday with the CC gals

The CC gals wanted to bring Ton out and treat him to a one fab dinner before he goes back to Cebu for good.

We decided to head down to Duxton Hill and explore how buzzy the area is on a typical weekend night.

Photos from last night

Our top choice was the Spanish Taba Bar called Sabio. Known for its delicious Jamons and lovely Sangrias. As we were starving that night, we decided to just order whatever our tummies can take.

We ended up having 3 sets of bread toasted with tomato sauce topping (yum!), an order of salmon in vinegar sauce (muy delicioso!), some gambas (too little serving), and a potato pancake (which I forgot what it was called).

Bill amounted to SGD80.00. Yummy but not filling.

When Arianne (who arrived late that night) came to the place, we decided to try out another resto where she can have her own dinner. We strolled around the area and headed down to Ann Siang Hill.

Ann Siang Hill is great for wine/drinks/bar choices. But there aren't a lot of hearty restos around there though. Might be a good idea for a food entrepreneur to put up some resto in this quaint little neighborhood as there's not much competition.

We passed by Jerry's BBQ and Grill at the corner but didn't bother to check it out at first. But eventually, it merited a second look from us. There, we spent another couple of hours chitchatting and catching up.

At Jerry's, the staff service totally sucks. Where on earth did they learn how to wait tables? They don't say excuse me while arranging your plates. They just leave the utensils there too without any napkins or whatsoever. For god's sake, it's common sense to to ensure these spoons and forks don't dirty before you eat with them. What's worst is that they don't even serve your orders to whoever specifically asked for it. They just leave it at the center of the table and will let you get it on your own. Worst customer service, ever!

Fortunately, the food was fantabulous. The chicken wings were to die for. And the strawberry milkshake was just perfect, I can even go for a 2nd or 3rd round.

Gambas! Perfect with an iced-cold beer.

Ang sakit sa bangs ni Arianne!

Bitch, captured on photo.

Happy-and-cheeky!

Street photos are great here.

Headed home.

Sabio and our pica-pica dinner.

P.S.: My take-away insight from last night's catch-up came from Arianne. She said this is the fattest state she saw me since we became friends.

Rawr! No more carbs for me hopefully in the next few weeks.
