Food For Thought at the National Museum of Singapore

Down to eight...
(with JP, Angel, Charm, Raygan, Tim, Yu, and Bic)
It's been a while since my friends and I got together for a brunch-out. Although we did order a plateful of so-called brunch food, what's weird is that we ate it during dinner time.

Full Works --- Scrambled eggs, bread, bacon, salad, mushrooms, and sausages ($20)
While it's everyone's first to visit the newest branch of Food for Thought at the National Museum of Singapore, most of us are already quite familiar with their resto offerings.
The original Bras Basah branch with its quirky design and cozy ambiance has set the bar high for us to expect a lot about the new Food For Thought location, more so since it's located inside a museum.

Although there are a lot of things that will catch your eye on your way to the restaurant, like the wall projections and the colorful art house peices at the museum's lobby area, the interiors of the resto itself didn't capture the artsy-fartsy essence of Bras Basah's design concept.

Below are some of our creative takes and lumu-lookbook poses while waiting to get seated...

With a $20 order of 'Full Works' shared between two persons, I thought it wasn't filling enough. But thanks to Angel's additional order of fries, it helped me get by. I wanted to order some brioche which they previously serve together with their brunch meals, but unfortunately they no longer sell this type of delicious bread.

With the brides-to-be showing off their engagement rings.
As compared to most popular restos in the city, surprisingly, you no longer need to wait for a very long time to get seated here as there are no queues on a Saturday night. It must be the location as it's quite hidden. It was also quiet around this hour (although it's perfect for those who are into quiet dates).

Time for some desert! Although I know the resto serves delicious cakes and pastries, we still opted to transfer to a nearby cafe just for a change of ambiance.

My resto rating: 2 out of 5 stars. A so-so thumbs up...

Signing off,
Super Pao
